Inworld Referral Program Rules
Effective Date: June 9, 2026
1. Overview
The Inworld Referral Program (the "Program") lets existing Inworld customers ("Referrers") refer new customers ("Referees") to sign up for a paid Inworld subscription. When a Referee signs up using a Referrer's unique referral link or code, subscribes to a qualifying paid plan, and meets the requirements in Sections 3 and 4, both the Referrer and Referee may receive an Inworld credit (a "Referral Reward") to use toward Inworld services.
Participation in the Program is voluntary and subject to these Inworld Referral Program Rules (the "Rules"). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Rules and by Inworld's
Terms of Service (the "ToS") and
Privacy Policy, in addition to any other agreement between you and Inworld. To the extent these Rules conflict with the ToS on a Program-specific point, these Rules control as to that point only.
2. Eligibility
-
Referrers must be existing Inworld customers with an active account in good standing and no past-due balance.
-
Referees must be individuals or entities who have not previously held an Inworld account and have not previously used a paid or trial Inworld service.
-
Age and capacity. Both Referrers and Referees must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher) and able to form legally binding contracts. The Program is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18; referring or marketing the Program to a known minor is prohibited.
-
Prior relationships. Referees who are already known to Inworld — including former or current customers, named prospects in our CRM, or any user with a pre-existing free or trial account at the time of the referral — are not eligible.
-
Sanctions / location. Neither the Referrer nor the Referee may be located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive U.S., EU, or U.K. sanctions, and neither may be listed on any U.S. (including the OFAC SDN List), EU, or U.K. sanctions list. The Program is offered only in jurisdictions where Inworld offers paid services and where refer-a-friend reward programs are lawful without permit or registration.
-
Excluded jurisdictions. In addition to the sanctions limits above, the Program is not offered to, and may not be used by, persons located in, ordinarily resident in, or entities organized under the laws of India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam. Inworld may add or remove jurisdictions from this list at any time by updating these Rules.
-
Inworld personnel. Inworld employees, contractors, officers, directors, and their immediate household members are not eligible to be Referrers or Referees.
-
Discretion. Inworld may refuse participation, withhold a Referral Reward, or recover a previously-issued Referral Reward if any party is not eligible or engages in conduct prohibited under Section 6.
3. Qualifying Referral
A referral qualifies for a Referral Reward only if all of the following are true:
-
Use of the link/code. The Referee creates a new Inworld account using the Referrer's unique referral link or code at the time of account creation. Codes entered after account creation, or applied to existing accounts, do not qualify.
-
Paid subscription, minimum one month. Within thirty (30) days of account creation, the Referee subscribes to a paid Inworld subscription plan with a minimum committed term of one (1) month. Free trials, $0 / freemium plans, pay-as-you-go usage without a subscription, promotional credit balances, and subscriptions activated using a Referral Reward or other Inworld credit do not qualify.
-
Verification. The Referee completes any identity, payment, and account verification required by Inworld and is not in violation of the ToS or these Rules.
-
Active for one full billing month. The Referee keeps the qualifying paid subscription active and in good standing for at least one (1) full billing month and is not in a paused, downgraded-to-free, suspended, or canceled state when the Referral Reward is calculated.
-
No self-referrals. The Referrer and Referee are not the same person and are not connected by common contact information, payment method, device, IP address pattern, household, employer, or other indicia of common identity.
4. Issuance, Amount, and Expiration of Referral Rewards
-
Payment condition. A Referral Reward will not be issued until (a) the Referee has paid in full, in cleared funds, the first full month of subscription fees for the qualifying paid plan, and (b) the chargeback / refund window applicable to that payment (currently thirty (30) days from the date of payment, or such longer period as Inworld's payment processor requires) has lapsed without a chargeback, refund request, or reversal.
-
Timing. Subject to the payment condition above, Referral Rewards will be credited to the Referrer's and Referee's Inworld accounts within a commercially reasonable time, typically within fifteen (15) business days after the payment condition is satisfied.
-
Amount. Each Referral Reward is an Inworld account credit in the amount of ten U.S. dollars (US$10) per qualifying referral, credited to each of the Referrer and the Referee.
-
Use; no cash; no refunds; no substitution. Referral Rewards may be redeemed only as a credit against fees for Inworld services. Referral Rewards have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash, refunds, cash back, gift cards, or any other form of payment, and may not be transferred, assigned, sold, traded, combined with cash, or substituted for any other product or service. Referral Rewards cannot be combined with certain other offers as indicated at redemption.
-
Expiration. Unless otherwise stated at issuance, Referral Rewards expire twelve (12) months after they are credited, or upon termination of the Referrer's or Referee's account, whichever is earlier. Expired Referral Rewards are forfeited and cannot be reinstated.
-
Clawback. Inworld may reverse or claw back any Referral Reward if, within ninety (90) days of issuance, the Referee's qualifying payment is refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed; the Referee's account is canceled; or Inworld determines that the referral was ineligible, fraudulent, or otherwise non-compliant with these Rules. If the Referral Reward has already been redeemed, Inworld may invoice the Referrer for the equivalent cash value or offset it against future amounts.
5. Reward Limits
-
Monthly cap. A Referrer may earn no more than ten (10) Referral Rewards in any calendar month.
-
Annual cap. A Referrer may earn no more than one hundred (100) Referral Rewards in any calendar year.
-
Per-Referee. Only one Referral Reward may be issued per Referee, regardless of the number of accounts or subscriptions the Referee creates.
-
Adjustment. Inworld may, in its sole discretion, lower the caps or adjust the amount, type, or availability of Referral Rewards prospectively, including by suspending issuance for a category of users, region, or time period. Caps and amounts in effect at the time the Referral Reward is issued control.
6. Restrictions and Conduct
Participants must not, and must not assist or permit others to:
-
Fake or duplicate accounts. Create fake, automated, scripted, or duplicate Inworld accounts to generate Referral Rewards, or use any bot, scraper, or other automated means to participate in the Program.
-
Misleading promotion. Misrepresent Inworld, its products, pricing, availability, performance, or AI capabilities, or make false or unsubstantiated claims about Inworld services in connection with promoting a referral link or code.
-
Fake reviews and testimonials. Post fake, deceptive, or AI-generated reviews or testimonials about Inworld, in violation of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials, 16 C.F.R. Part 465 (or any equivalent law in the Referrer's jurisdiction).
-
Endorsement disclosure. Promote a referral link or code in social, video, podcast, blog, email, or any similar public channel without clearly and conspicuously disclosing the Referrer's material connection to Inworld, consistent with the FTC Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 C.F.R. Part 255, and any analogous rules in the Referrer's jurisdiction. Examples of acceptable disclosures include "#ad", "#sponsored", or a plain-language statement such as "I get a referral credit if you sign up."
-
Spam and unwanted messages. Send unsolicited bulk email (in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 7701-7713), unsolicited SMS or autodialed calls (in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, 47 U.S.C. § 227), or any similar unlawful communication. Referrer messages must clearly identify the Referrer as the sender (not Inworld), must not impersonate Inworld, and must comply with all applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
-
Coupon and deal sites; paid ads; bidding on Inworld marks. Post referral links or codes on coupon, deal, or cashback websites, run paid search or display advertising on the link or code, or bid on "Inworld" or any Inworld trademark or confusingly similar variant in any keyword auction, without Inworld's prior written consent.
-
Privacy. Share personal information of any prospective Referee with Inworld without that person's knowledge and any consent required by applicable law (including the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CPRA, and other U.S. state privacy laws). The Referrer represents and warrants that they have the lawful basis to provide any contact information they submit to the Program.
-
General. Engage in any conduct that violates the ToS, any applicable law (including consumer-protection, advertising, telemarketing, privacy, anti-spam, sanctions, and anti-bribery laws), or that Inworld determines, in its reasonable discretion, to be abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to the Program, Inworld, or other users.
Inworld may disqualify any referral, withhold or revoke any Referral Reward, suspend or terminate a Referrer's or Referee's account, and pursue any other remedy available at law or in equity for any breach of this Section 6.
7. Taxes
Referral Rewards may be taxable to the recipient. Each participant is solely responsible for any tax owed on a Referral Reward and for any reporting required by their tax authority. Inworld may, as a condition of issuing a Referral Reward, require a U.S. Referrer to submit a properly completed IRS Form W-9, and a non-U.S. Referrer to submit a Form W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, or other applicable documentation. If a U.S. Referrer's aggregate Referral Rewards in a calendar year meet or exceed the then-current IRS reporting threshold (currently US$600), Inworld may issue a Form 1099-MISC (or successor form). Failure to provide required tax documentation may result in withholding (including backup withholding at the rate then in effect) or forfeiture of the Referral Reward.
8. Privacy
By participating, Referrers and Referees consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information related to the referral as described in Inworld's
Privacy Policy. Where required, individuals may exercise their rights (including access, deletion, correction, and portability) through the processes described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Modification, Suspension, and Termination
Inworld may change, suspend, or terminate the Program, or any participant's ability to participate in the Program or receive Referral Rewards, at any time and for any reason, including suspected fraud or abuse by any participant, violation of these Rules, or violation of any agreement between the participant and Inworld or its affiliates. Where Inworld terminates the Program in its entirety, Inworld will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor Referral Rewards that have already been issued and have not expired, subject to Section 4 (Clawback) and Section 6 (Restrictions and Conduct).
10. Disclaimers
THE PROGRAM AND THE REFERRAL REWARDS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO PORTIONS OF THIS DISCLAIMER MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INWORLD'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PROGRAM (INCLUDING THE ISSUANCE, NON-ISSUANCE, REVOCATION, OR REDEMPTION OF ANY REFERRAL REWARD) WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). IN NO EVENT WILL INWORLD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
12. Dispute Resolution; Governing Law
These Rules are governed by, and the relationship between you and Inworld arising out of the Program is governed by, the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and the dispute-resolution, binding-arbitration, class-action waiver, and venue provisions set out in the
Inworld Terms of Service are incorporated by reference and apply to any dispute arising out of or relating to the Program or these Rules. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
13. Void Where Prohibited; No Lottery
The Program is void where prohibited by law. The Program is intended as a refer-a-friend rewards program and is not a sweepstakes, contest, or lottery; no element of chance determines whether a Referral Reward is issued, and no purchase of Inworld services by the Referrer is required to participate. If applicable law in any jurisdiction would characterize any feature of the Program as a regulated promotion (including any registration, bonding, or permit requirement), the Program is not offered to residents of that jurisdiction to the extent of that requirement.
14. Entire Understanding; Severability
These Rules, together with the ToS and Privacy Policy, are the entire understanding between the participants and Inworld with respect to the Program and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understanding on this subject. If any provision of these Rules is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15. Prior Program; Prior Codes Voided
These Rules govern the relaunched Inworld Referral Program. The prior referral program that ended on February 18, 2026, is closed. All referral links, referral codes, and unredeemed referral rewards issued or earned under the prior program are void as of the Effective Date of these Rules and will not be honored under the relaunched Program. Participants in the relaunched Program must obtain a new referral link or code from their current Inworld account. Nothing in this Section limits Inworld's discretion under Section 9 (Modification, Suspension, and Termination).
